Changelog

alpha v0.14.0

  • The game was rebuilt as one large battle between two teams on the Desert map. Soldiers and Insurgents fight in squads of five.
  • A new game mode (Frag) was added. Points are earned by kills, revives, bandaging teammates and holding the town square. The first team to reach the set score wins the match.
  • Five classes (Rifleman, Medic, Sniper, Rocketeer, Driver) were added. The class is chosen on a deploy screen that opens after death. Each class carries its own weapons, gear and armour.
  • A player hit by a fatal shot falls to the ground wounded. Teammates can bring the player back up with a revive kit. A bandage can also be applied to a teammate.
  • Vests and helmets reduce bullet damage. A planted charge (C4) explodes after a short time and can be defused by the enemy. Ground loot, airdrops, money, shops and the inventory screen were removed.
  • Both teams wear new soldier models. The Desert town received sidewalks, a median lined with palms and a war-torn square. Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.14.0.

alpha v0.13.1

  • The soldiers of both teams wear a new soldier model. The vest, backpack, helmet, headset and goggles are drawn as separate pieces.
  • The first team is dressed in light desert colours and the second in dark desert colours. The two teams are easy to tell apart from afar.
  • Each piece of gear is switched on and off with its own box in the character panel. The goggles sit on the helmet, or on the bare head without one.
  • The older bodies of the military pack can still be selected. A button was added to the panel that gives both teams these bodies.
  • Older character picks were carried over to the new model automatically. Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.13.1.

alpha v0.13.0

  • The teams are split into two sides, soldiers and insurgents. Each side wears its own desert camouflage and is easy to tell apart from afar.
  • The buildings of the Desert town are larger, and every door can be passed. Every staircase leads to the upper floors and roofs.
  • The town square is paved with asphalt and edged with a kerb. Some houses have walled gardens with trees, and the desert has two large oasis lakes and groves.
  • The fog is thicker in the town centre, and vehicles and explosions raise dust. The sky is drawn from a sunny, cloudy picture.
  • The game runs at a higher frame rate on every graphics level. The Low and Medium levels are clearly lighter.
  • A new small car and a sedan replace the city car. Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.13.0.

alpha v0.12.1

  • Inside a vehicle the Insert key changes the dirt again, and with Shift it changes the paint. The controls page has a vehicle paint row.
  • Commands that change looks take effect at once while the command window is open.
  • Old and wrong key hints have been removed from the game. Help texts show only the keys in use.
  • The paint names of the technical pickup follow the real body colour.
  • Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.12.1.

alpha v0.12.0

  • The game runs at a clearly higher frame rate in a real match. The slowdown seen with vertical sync on has been fixed.
  • Grass grows on the open sand of the Desert map. The fog is lighter and distant houses look sharper.
  • The crouch key takes a lying player straight into a crouch without standing up. Hands and arms stay above the ground while crawling.
  • The pickup has clear glass, and its machine gunner stands on the bed floor. Fewer weapon finishes are offered.
  • Admin commands (AMX) have been extended. The chat ban and the voice ban are separate, and bans last after the game closes.
  • Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.12.0.

alpha v0.11.0

  • The Desert map has been rebuilt as a single town. One zone sits on the monument square in the middle of town, and two teams fight over it.
  • The town has a palm boulevard, alleys, shops and houses that can be entered. Abandoned farms lie around the town.
  • Window panes, crates and bottles break. The insides of houses are darker than the street.
  • Lying down and crawling use new movements. The pickup comes in one model, a new vehicle with a heavy machine gun on its bed.
  • Explosions are drawn with new effects. A C4 charge rings longer after the call and stays fixed where it is stuck.
  • The game runs with one light and at a higher frame rate. New weapon finishes with readable edges have been added. Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.11.0.

alpha v0.10.5

  • When one of several C4 charges side by side goes off, the others nearby follow a moment later. A charge behind a wall stays put.
  • A C4 blast leaves a taller and thicker column of smoke. Sand and dark earth are thrown up the moment it goes off.
  • The shock wave is easier to see. A sharp ring in the air, a bright ring on the ground and a ring of dust run outward.
  • C4 and the phone are gripped by the fingers. The wrap on the charge no longer slides when seen from other angles.
  • The main menu opens on the Desert map. The Tropical Island map was taken off the list. The glove choice was removed and everyone wears the same gloves.
  • Weapon finishes are matte and detailed, and new finishes were added. Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.10.5.

alpha v0.10.4

  • A vehicle thrown by C4 drifts slightly to the side and tumbles as it comes down. It drifts away from the side the charge was on.
  • The moment C4 goes off, sand and dust are thrown up from the ground. A shock wave runs outward from the blast. When it reaches a player the view takes a sudden hard jolt and a pressure thump is heard.
  • C4 is held in both hands. The phone is held upright with its screen to the eye. C4 has the tan colour of a real charge.
  • Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.10.4.

alpha v0.10.3

  • A vehicle thrown by C4 always rises straight up. Several charges on one vehicle going off together throw it higher.
  • The C4 blast was made bigger. A flash, a fireball and a dark smoke column that hangs in the air were added. Dust rolls out along the ground.
  • The C4 blast has its own sound. From far away it arrives late and rolls like thunder. Players nearby hear a ringing in the ears and the view shakes.
  • Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.10.3.

alpha v0.10.2

  • The C4 key (9) was fixed. At a low frame rate the key counted one press twice, so the phone never came out. The phone, the call and the blast work at any frame rate.
  • Online play needs everyone in the room on v0.10.2.

alpha v0.10.1

  • C4 blasts (throwing what the charge sticks to) were reworked. An exploding charge throws its vehicle into the air, and nearby vehicles are pushed less with distance. A player killed by C4 is thrown upward.
  • The C4 ring (an old phone tone) was changed. Charges ring longer with an original old mobile phone tune that speeds up at the end. A charge on a moving vehicle stays steady.
  • Gloves (first and third person hands) keep their own colour instead of the outfit colour. The default glove is the pack's fingerless glove. Matte glove tones and realistic weapon finishes can be previewed locally from the console.
  • Asphalt roads (road edges and surface) were redrawn. The edge is sharp and chipped in places, and the asphalt is faded, stained and cracked. Straight roads carry a faint centre line, with sand and a gravel shoulder at the edge.
  • Bush density (a video setting) was added. The setting thins or thickens bushes, saplings and flowers. Trees are never thinned, because players collide with them.

alpha v0.10.0

  • The Desert map (a war zone in the Middle East) was added. It holds dense villages, a town in the middle and open sand between them. Narrow streets, courtyards and flat roofs suit close fighting, and the map runs more smoothly than Tropical Island.
  • Zone flags (flag poles in the squares) stand in the middle of each village square on the Desert map. The cloth flag waves in the wind and takes the colour of the team holding the zone.
  • Desert trees (date palms, acacias and dry scrub) were added to the tree styles. The Desert map opens with its own tree style and its own warm light under a hard sun.
  • C4 (a sticky charge set off by phone) was added. C4 is bought at the base gear table and sticks to vehicles, walls, team mates or the player. When the phone is called, every charge rings briefly and then explodes.
  • C4 rules (team damage and defusing) were set. The blast hurts team mates too, and a charge hit by a bullet explodes at once. An enemy defuses a charge by holding the use key, and the owner can set it off even while dead.
  • Material tone (the colour tone of the world) can be chosen in a panel opened from the console. The panel offers ready tones and fine sliders, and the choice applies to the world at once. The default tone is the original colours, and weapons and hands keep their own colour.

alpha v0.9.11

  • Gloves (first person hands) were returned to their old look. The gloves take the colour of the worn outfit, blue with a blue outfit and green with a green one. The glove choice was removed.

alpha v0.9.10

  • Gloves (cloth glove models) were remade. The gloves carry a real cloth texture and can be chosen from the console in military camouflage and leather. The full glove covers the fingertips and the wrist too.
  • The ground of Tropical Island (hills and cliffs) was renewed. Ridges, valleys and rocky coastal cliffs make the island much hillier. Roads, villages and piers stayed where they were.
  • Palm forests (natural tree styles) were renewed. Trees are planted according to their place, shore palms lean over the water and valleys carry denser plants. Forests mix trees of different heights with open glades.
  • The boat wake (waves and foam on the water surface) was made realistic. The boat stops in a much shorter distance when the throttle is released or the reverse key is held. Rain is not seen under water, and it opens small rings on the surface.
  • Aiming blur (focus like an eye) was renewed. While aiming, the eye focuses smoothly from the weapon to the target, and scoped weapons blur more strongly. Clicks on console panels do not fire the weapon.
  • Vehicle damage (body look) was simplified. A damaged vehicle keeps its own paint instead of the whole body wearing down. Dents, broken glass, bullet holes, smoke and fire remain.

alpha v0.9.9

  • The boat (drivable sea vehicle) was added. The boats at the Tropical Island piers carry six people with the driver. The boat rocks on the swell and leaves a foam trail behind it.
  • Bike riding (lean and suspension) was retuned. The bike leans further in corners and turns much more quickly. Head sway inside vehicles was reduced.
  • Shore foam (lines at the water's edge) was added. Thin, gently moving foam lines appear along the shores of the sea, lakes and rivers. The soft light shafts around the sun were partly brought back.
  • Plant cover (palm styles and leaf lighting) was renewed. The tree options are made of styles from the palm family. Leaves are lit like one whole plant, and grass density has a wider range.
  • Aiming blur (depth of field) was renewed. While aiming, the back of the weapon blurs slightly and the aiming point stays sharp. Weapon sway when turning and sky reflections on the weapon were renewed too.
  • Gloves (colour and cut options) were added. First person gloves can be chosen from the console in colours, camouflage and a full finger cut. Look settings made in the console are saved at once.

alpha v0.9.8

  • Driving (vehicle handling) was renewed. Vehicles slow down clearly when the throttle is released, and the bike leans less in corners. The body of each vehicle class rides on its own kind of suspension.
  • Tropical Island (the default map) became the map matches open on. The Zincir map was removed. The island's roads were levelled on bridges and river crossings.
  • Server administration (admin commands) was extended. The room owner can create vehicles, bots, supply crates and weapons from the console. Time of day, weather, fog and rain can be set for everyone in the room at once.
  • Plant cover (tree and grass styles) was renewed. Each tree style uses a single kind of tree, and palms stand in groves across the island. Beach grass is the default grass, and its density can be changed in the settings.
  • Walking and running (movement speeds) were retuned. Steps are calmer and feet no longer slide on the ground. The angle of looking up and down was limited.
  • The picture (light and smoothness) was improved. In sunny light modes the glare around the sun was reduced, and rocks no longer shine white. Tropical Island is drawn with less load.

alpha v0.9.7

  • New tree styles led by palms were added. Tall palms, leaning palms, palm islets and dry palm groves are among them.
  • A new key changes the look of the grass and ground plants. Short grass, tall savanna grass, fern cover, flowering meadow and beach grass are among the choices.
  • This version can play in the same online rooms as the previous version.

alpha v0.9.6

  • Room administration (admin commands) was added. The player who creates a room can make others admins, and admins can kick and ban players. Online rooms accept only players on the same version.
  • A new map called Tropical Island was added. The island lies in the open sea, with a town at its centre and villages around it. Roads, a river, bridges, beaches and rocky hills are part of the map.
  • The trees on every map were renewed with palms and tropical trees. A single key switches between many forest styles. The Neon Night and Nightclub light modes were removed.
  • Vehicles can cross shallow water, slowing down as they go. A vehicle that enters deep water stops, floats for a while and then sinks. The players inside leave it and swim.
  • Aiming brings the view slightly closer. Switching between first and third person view also works in vehicles. In first person, the player's own legs are visible when looking down.
  • The on-screen display was rearranged. The small map sits in the bottom right corner, with the carried weapons and grenades shown beside it. Grenades, bandages and the first aid kit are chosen with their own keys.

alpha v0.9.5

  • The Chain map was rebuilt. The blue team spawns in the west, the red team in the east, and a large town stands between. Frontier villages lie on either side.
  • A river flows from north to south on each side of the town. Wherever a road crosses a river there is a concrete or wooden bridge. The rivers can be swum.
  • Many enterable houses, new loot spots, hills, forests and farms were added to the map. The villages were enlarged with log houses, barns and wells.
  • The trees were renewed with giant trees and tall pines. The sky shows between the leaves. Bullets, players and vehicles hit the visible trunk.
  • A single key switches between eight tree styles. The style changes only the player's own view, and the tree trunks stay the same for everyone.
  • Online rooms accept only players on the same version.

alpha v0.9.4

  • Shadows in the warm light modes were brightened. In crimson hour, golden evening, golden light and sunset the shaded areas keep their colour and stay visible.
  • The storm and dusk modes were brightened. Shadows reach farther, and their edges look cleaner and smoother.
  • The kick of the submachine guns was reduced. In return the spread of their rounds was widened.
  • The crouch key turns crouching on with one press and off with a second. The controls settings offer the hold style as well.
  • The marker above a teammate's head shrinks with distance. It sits just above the head from every angle.
  • Edge smoothing was made clearly effective against bright skies. A highest level and an edge filter option were added. The setting lists only the levels the graphics card supports.

alpha v0.9.3

  • A recoil multiplier was added to the game settings. It scales the kick of the aim and the view on every weapon from none to double. The multiplier applies only in offline matches.
  • Turning recoil off stops the drift of the aim and the lift and roll of the view completely as well.
  • A player who holds a spray down against the recoil is seen from outside looking where the rounds go. The hit areas move together with the body.
  • Maps open faster, and memory use and processor load were reduced. The look, the feel and the gameplay did not change.
  • Online rooms accept only players on the same version. Settings carry over to the new version on their own.

alpha v0.9.2

  • A surface detail option was added to the graphics settings. It gives buildings, props and the ground a fine grain, plaster and concrete texture and shaded corners. The colours stay the same, and the off position gives the earlier look.
  • The faceted, patchy look of the ground was removed. Grassy areas show smooth transitions and real grass texture. No pattern repeats enough to stand out.
  • The shell holder and the red empty shells of the pump shotgun were removed. The scope caps and the cartridge strip of the sniper rifle were removed as well. Both weapons were returned to their earlier look.

alpha v0.9.1

  • A shell holder was fitted on the left side of the pump shotgun. Its shells disappear one by one as the spare shells run low. The pump shotgun ejects red empty shells.
  • The scope caps of the sniper rifle were brought back. The caps stay closed while the rifle is held at the hip and open when aiming.
  • A cartridge strip was fitted on the side of the sniper rifle. Its rounds disappear one by one as the spare ammunition runs low.

alpha v0.9.0

  • Lying down and a quiet walk were added. A player lying down crawls slowly and is hit close to the ground. A player walking quietly makes no footstep sound.
  • Crouching and the radio messages were moved to new keys. Keys a player changed by hand are kept as they are.
  • The effect of smoke and fire grenades is shown to every player in online rooms. On the Chain map the state of the zones, distant items and airdrops stand in the same place for everyone.
  • The hot barrel of the heavy machine gun (M2) on the pickup gives off smoke. The sounds of long bursts were cleaned up, and the rounds go where the sights point while the vehicle turns.
  • When the host turns cheats on (sv_cheats), every player in the room can use the cheat commands. Commands to change team, gather the players in one team and call a vehicle were added to the console.
  • The player's own shadow is shown on the ground on foot and while driving. Aiming narrows the view slightly and softens the edges of the screen. The bike brakes harder.

alpha v0.8.5

  • Handguns are not affected by the kick and shake settings. Handguns fire with their own natural kick whatever the settings say. The other weapons keep using the settings.
  • The four keys that changed the kick and shake settings during a match were removed. These settings are changed only from the console.
  • The starting values of the kick and shake settings were renewed. Values already in a saved settings file are kept as they are.

alpha v0.8.4

  • Two new settings were added for how far the camera is pushed back and lifted on each shot. Each one is stepped with its own key during a match.
  • The screen shake setting changes only the sideways tilt of the picture. Its new value is shown at the top of the screen. After a shot the camera returns exactly to its place.
  • A kick off switch (feel_off) was added to the console. The switch turns off every kick and shake setting until the game closes. Saved settings do not change.

alpha v0.8.3

  • The weapon kick in the hands and the screen shake on each shot were made separate settings. Each one is stepped with its own key during a match.
  • The weapon kick setting also moves the weapon itself. At higher steps the weapon rises, comes back and turns further on every shot.
  • The range of both settings was widened. They change only the picture and do not affect where the bullets go.

alpha v0.8.2

  • The zones on the Chain map were turned into villages. Each zone has a tower or the large base in the middle, with houses, barns, huts and streets around it.
  • The zones form a chain that zigzags across the map. The two team homes were moved to opposite corners, and each home has a village around it.
  • The edge of the map is a dark belt. A player who enters it has a short time to return to the middle area, then dies. The full map and the minimap show the dark area shaded.
  • Walking bots are hit where they appear on the screen. The stutter that began after a few minutes in long matches with many bots was fixed.

alpha v0.8.1

  • Online rooms for playing with friends can be created again. In the previous versions creating a room failed every time.
  • The number of players who can join a room is limited. Bots play in the empty places on the teams.

alpha v0.8.0

  • The three-team mode is replaced by a two-team mode called Chain. Matches are played between the blue and red teams on a much larger new map. The two homes face each other from opposite ends of the map.
  • Between the homes lies a chain of zones named by letters. A team can take only the next zone in the chain and can lose only its frontmost zone. A capture stops while both teams stand in the same zone.
  • Every zone held earns frags for its team at regular intervals. Kills are added to the team's score as well.
  • The battle circle has been removed. Supply crates from the air land around the zones. Bots attack the next zone or defend the frontmost one.
  • A player spawns at home or beside a zone held by the team. The spawn point is chosen with the number keys while dead.
  • Small circles under the score show the state of every zone. The large map and the minimap show the zones by letter in the same colours. The scoreboard shows the two teams side by side.

alpha v0.7.2

  • Weapons kick harder in the hands when fired, and the screen shakes more. The strength of the kick can be stepped up or down with a single key during a match. The choice is kept, and where the bullets go stays the same.
  • The small map sits in the top left corner of the screen. The top right corner is left to the kill feed.
  • A bandage or a first aid kit that cannot be used from the inventory shows the reason. Full health is named plainly.

alpha v0.7.1

  • The Three Towers map spreads over a much larger area. The battle circle and the towers sit further from the centre. The countryside between them holds villages, farms, ponds, dirt tracks and rows of trees.
  • Buildings in the villages and farms can be entered. Most of the loot lies on their ground floors. Bots walk into buildings and ride vehicles from their homes to the bases.
  • The M or B key opens a full screen map, and the fire selector sits on X. It shows a grid, a scale, the team scores and the time to the next airdrop. A click on the map leaves a marker for the team.
  • A small map sits in the top right corner of the screen. It shows the player, teammates, bases, vehicles and the distance to the nearest base.
  • The large base's flag flies from a tall pole and can be seen from every gate. The airdrop is heard as a plane, a rustling parachute, a landing and a signal from the crate.

alpha v0.7.0

  • Matches are played between three teams: blue, red and yellow. A team's score is the sum of its members' frags. The three scores are shown at the top centre of the screen, each in its team's colour.
  • The battle map is called Three Towers, and the game has two maps with the Range. The large base in the middle and the three towers are captured when only one team stands inside. Every base held earns frags for every member of the team.
  • A short countdown starts for a player left outside the battle circle or inside an enemy home. Outside the circle the screen turns black and white.
  • At regular intervals a plane drops a supply crate on a parachute inside the circle. The crate holds money, a vest, a helmet, a first aid kit and a weapon.
  • Silencers and scopes fit more rifles, and silencers fit every handgun. The new laser sight casts a red dot everyone can see and tightens fire from the hip. The sniper rifle shows no crosshair.
  • Bots move past tables without snagging, capture bases and stay inside the circle. The Serico's windows sit flush in their frames. In the credits the saz player sits in front with the dancers in a single row behind him.

alpha v0.6.17

  • Talking on the radio requires a headset. Without one, only players nearby hear the voice. Goggles are purely decorative and cost less.
  • Right-clicking a bandage or a first aid kit in the inventory closes the screen and starts the healing motion. The inventory opens on the first press of Tab. The scoreboard moved to the P key.
  • Every item bought at a table or moved in the inventory gets a short line at the bottom left. A backpack cannot be taken off while the pockets are too full without it.
  • Credits were added to the main menu. In the armory at the base, one man plays the saz while six others dance with their weapons. The camera circles the scene slowly.
  • At the vehicle shop, the mouse wheel picks the color of a toy car. The vehicle bought arrives in that color. An empty vehicle seats the player behind the wheel from any door.
  • The city car seats sit lower, so the head stays under the roof. The driver's head sways less. The shotgun pump takes the weapon finish, and the hand holding it stays steady.

alpha v0.6.16

  • A team marker was added. The middle mouse button places a yellow diamond and its distance where the player looks. Only teammates see it.
  • Bandages and first aid kits were added. Both restore health over a few seconds. Sprinting, firing or taking damage stops the healing.
  • Healing items are sold at the gear table at the base. They can also turn up in the bags of the dead. A green bar shows while one is in use.
  • The inventory opens with a short press of the Tab key. Holding the key shows the scoreboard. A double click puts an item on or takes it off.
  • A backpack doubles the room in the pockets. Dropping it spills what no longer fits into a bag on the ground. The inventory shows how many places are filled.
  • The bag dropped by the dead is a small backpack lying on the ground. Left untouched, it disappears after a while. The tables at the base can no longer be walked through.

alpha v0.6.15

  • The base has weapon, gear and vehicle shops. Every player starts a match with some money. Kills and assists on enemies earn more money.
  • The price shows in the label above each item. Without enough money, nothing is sold. A bought vehicle waits on the pad beside the shop.
  • Smoke and incendiary grenades were added. A smoke cloud hides what is behind it, from bots too. An incendiary grenade leaves a fire burning on the ground.
  • Grenades are picked from a round selection wheel. One key throws the chosen grenade at once. A weapon is dropped by dragging it out of the inventory.
  • Chat opens with the Enter key. Ready radio messages for the team were added. A teammate's marker shows at any distance.
  • One of the assault rifles was removed from the game. New dark coats for the weapons were added. Rain can be heard in rainy weather.

alpha v0.6.14

  • Weapons on the base table lie further apart. Each weapon points from the front of the table to the back. The item under the reticle comes before one at the feet.
  • A separate gear table stands beside the weapon table. It holds silencers, a scope, a helmet, goggles and a vest. An item whose slot is free goes straight on.
  • The table gives an item only to a player without one. The enemy team's table gives nothing. The nearby list in the inventory scrolls with the wheel.
  • Rooms need the same version because the tables moved.
  • The pickup truck is drawn with far fewer faces. Its textures and paints stay exactly as they were. The window and door seals of the Serico look like black rubber.

alpha v0.6.13

  • The network format has changed in this version. Rooms accept only the same version. A match starts with a handgun and grenades only.
  • Each team's base has a table holding every weapon. A weapon taken from the table never runs out. The enemy team's table gives nothing.
  • Each key holds a single weapon. Taking a new one drops the old one to the ground. Weapons on the ground keep their attachments.
  • A fallen player's whole kit goes into one crate. The open crate is listed in the inventory under the player's name. Bots still spawn with their old weapons.
  • Magnifying scopes zoom by their full stated power. The old lens barely enlarged the picture. Silencers and scopes wear a matte black paint.
  • Every weapon rolls and shakes the screen when firing. Most weapons kick harder than before. With the vest off, the body underneath looks flat.

alpha v0.6.12

  • The network format has changed in this version, and rooms accept only the same version. Weapon recoil has been rebuilt. Vertical kick grows over the first rounds, then holds steady.
  • Sideways kick is random with every round but stays within bounds. When firing stops, the muzzle settles part of the climb on its own, and the mouse pulls down the rest. Aiming and crouching reduce the kick.
  • Every weapon has its own recoil numbers. The default weapon finish is worn black; the factory look can still be chosen. Silencers and scopes carry a dark anodised metal look.
  • The rifle's magnifying scope, like the sniper scope, zooms only inside its own lens, and the weapon stays on screen. Away from the sights, scope lenses look like glass that reflects the sky. The settings gain a row for mouse speed in the scope.
  • The inventory screen is laid out on a tidy grid. Weapon cards show a side picture of the weapon with attachment boxes on it. Every item has an icon, and the gear boxes stand in a single column.
  • The backpack sits properly on the back, and the goggles sit at eye level. A vest has been added as an experiment; it comes off and drops like the helmet. In the free camera the (Q) key flies down and the (E) key flies up.

alpha v0.6.11

  • The network format has changed in this version, and rooms accept only the same version. In a match the (I) key opens the new inventory screen. Nearby ground items and carried items sit on the left, with weapon cards on the right.
  • Items are picked up, fitted, removed and dropped by dragging and dropping. A right click does the same in one move. The match keeps running while the screen is open.
  • Every map holds loot points, set more densely around the spawn points. An item on the ground is picked up with the (F) key. A fallen player's items drop around the player's feet.
  • Rifle and pistol silencers and a magnifying rifle scope can be found on the maps. A helmet, headset, goggles and backpack wait in the inventory at the start of every match. Worn gear shows on the character's body, and teammates see it too.
  • A silenced round does a little less damage to the body and limbs; headshots and the sniper rifle are unchanged. Every weapon gains ten military camouflage finishes. The weapon in hand takes the same light as the world, and metal parts shine more.
  • The easiest bots no longer dodge from side to side when shot or aimed at. The bike stays up on slopes, in turns and on landings, and falls only in a real crash.

alpha v0.6.10

  • Each settings row has a small info button beside its name. The explanation fades in under the row when the pointer rests on that button, then fades out. Players using a keyboard or controller see the same card after a short pause on the row.
  • Weapon and silencer choices sit on a new Loadout page instead of the settings. The player's own character stands in the middle with the selected weapon and any fitted silencer. The page opens from the main menu, the pause menu and in a match with the (I) key.
  • Characters' feet stand on the concrete of the warehouse in the middle of the Open Field map. The floors of the hillside houses and huts match the visible ground on every storey.
  • On the bike the camera stays level through turns, while the bike and its rider lean. A vehicle that lands squarely on its wheels after a jump is not counted as a crash. The bike is held steady in the air and rarely goes over after jumps.
  • Weapon finishes show their relief: carbon fibre, brushed steel and camouflage patterns can be seen on the surface. Painted finishes are free of white glare spots and the grey metallic look, and camouflage keeps its colour.

alpha v0.6.9

  • The game no longer closes when a frame rate limit is chosen in the settings. Wrecks and overturned vehicles stop bullets, rockets and blasts. Overturned vehicles also take damage.
  • A burning vehicle that keeps taking fire explodes without delay. A rocket that hits a vehicle blows it up at once. A vehicle explosion wounds those nearby as much as a rocket.
  • Passengers are not thrown out on bumps and short jumps. Driven vehicles are heavier and do not flip in the air. The speed boost (Shift) raises top speed by a fifth.
  • Every submachine gun has a shot sound of its own. The heavy machine gun (M2) sounds heavier, and silencers have three sounds by weapon class. Tyres squeal on tarmac only when they truly slide.
  • The assault rifle (AK-200) sight stays on the bullet's line, and its recoil is slightly stronger. The AR-02 does less damage and kicks less, and magazines stay visible during reloads. The grenade is thrown slower and spins in the air.
  • In third person, rifle stocks rest on the shoulder and the rocket launcher sits on top of it. The limbs of a fallen character do not pass through each other. On the heavy machine gun the weapon stays level and the sight shows where the bullet goes.

alpha v0.6.8

  • Submachine gun damage has been lowered. A kill with these weapons takes clearly longer than with a rifle. The weapon pictures in the lower right corner are the weapons' own pictures.
  • Cars are more agile. In the driver's seat the Shift key gives a short burst of extra acceleration. The boost heats up with use and loses strength.
  • The pickup has new dirt finishes. Light paints look matte, and damaged vehicles show scratches and dents. The Serico has wheels and seats true to the original.
  • Every vehicle model has a sound of its own. Distant, sparse gunfire can be heard on the open field map. Cars no longer stay tilted on two wheels on the road.
  • Bots walk and run at the player's speed. A single-player match can hold up to a hundred bots. The console has new commands that help with development.
  • Menu and settings pages scroll. Row and text sizes are balanced on every screen. Weapon surfaces shine more, and the sight alignment of two rifles has been fixed.

alpha v0.6.7

  • A new assault rifle has been added. Two rifles, two pistols and four submachine guns have joined as well. The one key cycles through the main weapons and the two key through the pistols.
  • Every main weapon and pistol can take a silencer. A silenced shot is heard from a shorter distance. The lower right corner shows the weapon's picture and name.
  • Car acceleration and braking have been retuned. Vehicles gain speed gradually and come to a natural stop. A destroyed vehicle settles on its wheels and stays still.
  • Vehicles have realistic sounds. The pickup has dirt finishes. The finish is changed with the Insert key.
  • The menus and the in-match screen have a new design. The main menu has a moonlight look and a button for changing the light.
  • Characters' feet rest on the floor and no longer sink into it. Freezes at match start and on map change have been removed. Bots handle vehicles and movement better.

alpha v0.6.5

  • Vehicle damage builds up in stages. A single crash never sets a car alight, repeated crashes bring smoke first and then fire. People thrown from a crash usually survive.
  • The sniper rifle has no iron sight aim. Right click opens the scope directly, and shots without the scope spread widely. The bolt sound has two stages.
  • Third person view has free look. While Alt is held the camera turns and the character stays put. On the pickup's heavy machine gun the hands sit on the grips.
  • After a death the picture fades to black and white and sounds grow muffled. The score box sits at the top centre of the screen.
  • Computer controlled opponents have a very easy level, which is the default. Their number is set with a long slider or typed in.
  • The Serico and the pickups have new wheels. Vehicle fire looks more realistic. Buildings on the open map show bullet marks.

alpha v0.6.4

  • Vehicles have health. A damaged vehicle smokes, then catches fire and explodes a few seconds later. Impacts dent the body and break the glass.
  • Cars reach about one hundred kilometres per hour. In a very hard crash the driver and passengers are thrown out.
  • The squad system has been rebuilt. Every player has a three digit code. Typing a code sends an invite, and whoever accepts stands beside the inviter in the main menu.
  • The main menu shows a real map view and the squad side by side. It offers text chat and push to talk voice.
  • After a death the camera zooms in on the killer, with his name and weapon above his head. The kill feed shows the weapon name.
  • The sniper rifle and shotgun animations follow the pack closely. In the air every weapon spreads widely, even when aiming. Bots use the heavy machine gun, the bike and the rocket launcher.

alpha v0.6.3

  • The main menu has been redesigned. Flat tabs run along the top, and the character stands outdoors in the centre. The start button sits bottom left, with squad slots marked by plus signs bottom right.
  • The 1 key cycles through the rifle, the sniper rifle, the shotgun and the rocket launcher. The main weapon chosen in the settings is in hand at spawn.
  • The sniper rifle's scope carries the rifle's paint instead of white. During a reload the rifle stays out of the camera and holds its place.
  • Shotgun pellets spread wider in the air. The shotgun stays upright while walking.
  • The sniper rifle, and the shotgun at close range, throw a killed player much harder.
  • The rocket launcher comes with 20 rockets in total on every spawn.

alpha v0.6.2

  • A bolt-action sniper rifle with a scope (SKEL_Sniper_01) was added. The scope is raised with the right mouse button, and the mouse wheel switches between eight and four times zoom. A single round to the body is lethal.
  • A pump-action shotgun (SKEL_Shotgun_01) was added. Each shot fires nine pellets, and shells are loaded one at a time. The main weapon (rifle, sniper rifle or shotgun) is chosen on the Game page of the settings menu.
  • A heavy machine gun (Browning M2) was mounted in the bed of the pickups. The gunner's seat in the bed is taken with the F key, and the left mouse button fires. Long bursts heat the barrel, and the gun then falls silent for a short time.
  • A two-seat bike (SM_Veh_Bike_01) was added. The bike leans into turns, and a hard crash throws both riders to the ground. A fallen bike is raised again with the F key.
  • Computer-controlled opponents (bots) carry a rifle, a shotgun or a sniper rifle in each life. Sniper bots settle at a distant spot, and shotgun bots close in.
  • A short English word (KILL, HEADSHOT) appears above the crosshair when a player is killed. Kills in a row within four seconds are shown as DOUBLE KILL and TRIPLE KILL.

alpha v0.6.1

  • A physics system of the game's own (rigid body physics) was added for grenades, vehicles and bodies. These objects fly, roll and collide like real things. In online matches every player sees the same motion.
  • Moving vehicles damage the players they hit according to their speed. A hit at forty kilometres per hour or more is fatal. In a hard crash, passengers are thrown out of the vehicle.
  • Two new pickups and a four-door city car were added. A classic four-seat car (Tofaş Serico) was also added. The colour of a vehicle is changed with the Insert key.
  • A hall for testing vehicle crashes was added to the shooting range map (Poligon). The hall has a straight road, obstacles and targets seated in vehicles.
  • A squad feature that lets friends join the same match together was added. When the squad leader enters a room, the whole squad starts on the same team. A room can only be joined by players on the same version.
  • Grenade and rocket explosions are shown with a fireball, sparks and flames burning on the ground. The explosion briefly lights up its surroundings.

alpha v0.6.0

  • A single-shot, shoulder-fired rocket launcher (RL-01) was added. The rocket explodes where it lands and throws nearby players and vehicles aside. It is taken in hand by pressing the 1 key a second time while holding the rifle.
  • Grenade and rocket explosions throw nearby players into the air. A grenade exploding under a vehicle lifts it and can overturn it.
  • Swimming is possible in the ponds on the Open Field map. The Ctrl key dives and the Space key rises to the surface. Breath lasts fifteen seconds under water.
  • The third person camera, which shows the character from behind, was moved above the right shoulder. This view is switched to with the N key.
  • The main menu was simplified. The player's character stands in the middle of the menu, and one of five poses can be chosen.
  • The points needed to reach a new level were raised to about three times the previous amount.

alpha v0.5.9

  • A room can only be joined by players on the same version.
  • The number of frames drawn per second (frame rate) was increased at every quality setting. No detail was removed from the picture.
  • When a handgun is fired while aiming, the recoil is applied to the gun itself. The barrel rises briefly and returns to its place.
  • A gun's finish (skin) is kept after the game is closed.
  • Uncontrolled sliding of the character after landing from a jump was fixed.
  • The grenade bounces more when it hits the ground.

alpha v0.5.8

  • The frame rate was increased by one and a half to two times at every quality setting. The picture stayed the same.
  • The seat view inside a vehicle was moved to the driver's eye level. The road and the steering wheel are seen through the driver's eyes.
  • An option called Input latency was added to the display settings. It sets the balance between mouse response and frame rate.

alpha v0.5.7

  • A new title screen, shown when the game starts, was added. The player's character stands in the middle and can be turned with the mouse.
  • Eighteen military ranks, from Private to Marshal, were added. The rank changes as the level rises, and every rank has its own badge.
  • Experience points and money are earned only when an opponent is killed.
  • The loudness of sounds falls with distance. Sounds behind a wall are heard muffled.
  • The grenade explosion was made one and a half times larger. A shock wave and sparks are seen in the blast.

alpha v0.5.6

  • Six new light modes were added, three evening and three rainy. A light mode is a setting that decides the time of day and the weather on a map. In the rainy modes, rain falls on the Open Field map.
  • A pond was added on each side of the Open Field map. A player who enters the water slows down.
  • Ready quality levels from Performance to Ultra were added to the display settings. On weak computers the lower levels make the game faster.
  • Hitting and killing an opponent earns experience points (XP) and dollars. As points add up, the player's level rises.
  • Footsteps change with the ground. Concrete, earth, grass, gravel and metal each have their own sound.
  • A new difficulty level called Very easy was added for the computer-controlled opponents (bots).

alpha v0.5.5

  • The Open Field map was made the game's main map. Two bases and an outpost in the middle lie among hills and farms.
  • The body of a vehicle stops bullets, while the windows do not. An overturned vehicle rights itself.
  • The inside of the vehicle was renewed. The L key turns on the headlights, and the steering wheel turns with the driver's hands.
  • Fourteen paint colours were added to the vehicle. The chosen colour is seen by every player in the room.
  • The room code used to play with friends consists of digits only.
  • Bodies stay on the ground for fifteen seconds. A player who dies drops their gun.

alpha v0.5.4

  • The recoil of a gun also lifts the direction of the bullet. The gun is brought back down by pulling the mouse down.
  • Gun skins are also applied to the sights used for aiming. Seven new camouflage patterns were added.
  • The vehicle can also be used in rooms played with friends. It has four seats and is entered with the F key. The vehicle is still at the testing stage.
  • Five new light modes were added. Shadows were softened.
  • Weapon damage is the same in every room, whatever the bot difficulty.
  • The scoreboard opened with the Tab key was split into two columns.

alpha v0.5.3

  • The name of the game was changed to Flick Frag, written as two words.

  • The floor, walls and pillars of the Arena map were painted. Crates and barrels were added at the ends of the corridors.
  • Bodies on the ground move when they are shot.

alpha v0.5.2

  • A single bullet to the head kills with every gun. A hit to the body needs three bullets.
  • Health does not refill by itself.
  • The aiming mark in the middle of the screen (crosshair) opens up with movement. The opening shows the area where the bullet can go. Colour and thickness settings were added.
  • The grenade's reach was narrowed and its damage at the centre was raised. On landing, the grenade bounces and rolls to a stop.
  • The on-screen indicators were simplified. Health is shown at the bottom left and ammunition at the bottom right.
  • Twenty gun skins were added. The skins are changed in turn with the Insert key.

alpha v0.5.1

  • The fire mode (SERİ and TEK, automatic and single) is changed with the B key. In automatic mode, firing goes on while the trigger is held. Handguns fire single shots only.
  • The rifle (AR-01) hits the point shown by the tip of its front sight.
  • Firing right after running lowers accuracy.
  • The time needed to switch guns was shortened. For a handgun it is one second.
  • A hit sound was added. A metallic click is heard for a hit to the head and a dull thud for the body.
  • The kill list shows who killed whom and with which gun.

alpha v0.5.0

  • The knife and the vehicles were removed from the game for the time being.
  • Two voice chat modes were added. The K key opens a radio heard only by the team. The V key opens a local voice heard by everyone nearby.
  • Grenade damage was increased. A grenade exploding close by makes the ears ring.
  • The rifle's sideways drift while firing was reduced. The first five bullets go straight up.
  • Where a bullet hits, dust or sparks rise depending on the surface.
  • The Delete key opens small camera windows that show the character from outside.

alpha v0.4.8

  • A fault that closed the game when the Host Room button was pressed was fixed.
  • A room is still set up when voice chat cannot be opened. In that case only the voice chat does not work.

alpha v0.4.7

  • A mark in the team colour is shown above the head of each teammate. The mark is also seen through walls. Up to forty metres, the teammate's name and distance are written.
  • A red pulse is shown at the edge of the screen when health is low.
  • When the same gun lies on the ground, the F key takes only its ammunition.
  • Settings for mouse speed while aiming and for screen brightness were added.

alpha v0.4.6

  • In deathmatch, a player who respawns cannot be shot for two seconds. A player who fires loses this protection at once.
  • Health refills by itself five seconds after the last damage.
  • The scoreboard shows each player's connection delay (ping) in milliseconds.
  • A sound that rises in pitch with speed was added to the vehicle.
